IMS Service Android что это за приложение и нужно ли оно?
Всем пламенный привет, значит смотрите:
IMS Service — стандарт передачи данных в сетях 2G+, 3G, 3G+, 4G ну и будущих, но при этом используя IP-телефонию. Является частью Android, то есть это система.
Ребята, я конечно не особо шарю, но читал на форуме что IMS Service нужно для работы VoLTE. Что такое VoLTE? Если простыми словами — более быстрый стандарт передачи данных, в том числе и голоса, все намного быстрее и качественнее чем в 3G.
Минуточку. Чтобы не было путаницы — VoLTE работает на основе IMS Service.
Ребята, сори, позвольте сразу коротко ответить. IMS Service это стандарт — да, он хорош, он быстрый, классный. Но пока все это в России — сырое. Пока еще, и думаю пару лет будет актуален GSM/3G. Поэтому можете смело отключать. Вот коммент, который подтверждает — пока в IMS Service особого смысла нет:
Может через лет пять дела уже будут лучше.. а пока.. я бы отключил. Хотя если честно — читал что вроде некоторые операторы и поддерживают.. но только в Москве и Петербурге..

Просто сейчас данные передаются как бы также, как и лет 20 назад — при помощи стандартна GSM. И минус в том, что голосовая связь и смс работают на частоте 900/1800 МГц, то есть в стандарте 2G. Все остальное уже на более высокой частоте — 2400 МГц.
И вот задача IMS Service — все это перевести на новый уровень, а точнее на использование IP-телефонии. Среди заметных плюсов — можно будет использовать многие сервисы одновременно, также например будет доступна опция оповещения собеседника о вашем местоположении.
То есть приложение IMS Service может передавать ваши координаты собеседнику? Да, это может не всем понравиться, поэтому чтобы это отключить — нужно изменить разрешения приложения, чтобы оно не могло изменять настройки системы:
Также эта настройка запретит сервису самостоятельно включать GPS на вашем телефоне. Поняли что нужно делать? Нужно запретить этой проге изменять настройки приложения. Вот один юзер уже жалуется:

Ошибка IMS Service Stopped (приложение остановлено)
Кстати вот читаю, что раньше даже была ошибка IMS Service Stopped на телефонах Самсунг и вроде как компания выпустила исправление для телефонов, ну чтобы этой ошибки не было. Если вдруг у вас есть ошибка такая.. то проверьте что телефон смог скачать исправление, то есть что ему ничего не мешает это сделать.

Можно ли отключить или удалить?
Итак, выше мы уже поняли — IMS Service это система. А поэтому удалить нельзя. В теории нельзя, а некоторые юзеры таки удаляли.. и вроде проблем не было.. Такс, вот нашел сообщение — удалять эту штуку реально опасно:

Ваш телефон скорее всего поддерживает 3G, а значит и SIP-телефонию, но если вы последним не пользуетесь — то можно IMS отключить:
Вот читаю, что комбинация работает не на всех телефонах, но попробовать стоит. Увы, сам я проверить не могу, у меня телефон вообще не на Андроиде)) И еще, некоторые юзеры пишут что отключение IMS ничего не дало, а еще у некоторых вообще стало больше использовать батарею.. Короче советую проверить самостоятельно.
Если отключить проблемно, или не помогает, то можно заморозить, как сделал один чел:
Морозить лучше всего при помощи Titanium Backup.
Так что будьте осторожны, ибо IMS Service может не только сильно использовать батарею но и телефон греть)) А высокая температура — враг телефона! Да и компьютера тоже..
Так, вот еще инфа — можно попробовать отключить при помощи BK Package Disabler — это специальная прога для отключения нежелательных приложений в телефонах Самсунг.. но фишка в том что не нужен рут-доступ. Так что если у вас Самсунг — попробуйте, тем более, что судя по этому скриншоту — этой прогой реально можно отключить IMS Service:

Как удалить уведомление «Устройство поддерживает HD» из строки состояния
Некоторые стандартные телефоны Android показывают постоянное уведомление «Устройство поддерживает HD» в строке состояния, когда вы используете SIM-карту с поддержкой 4G VoLTE. Это конкретное уведомление является чрезвычайно упрямым, и, похоже, вы не можете его отключить. Уведомление «HD» также появляется в строке состояния.
Недавно мы столкнулись с тем же самым на наших смартфонах 10.или (как E, так и G), и, к сожалению, нет возможности навсегда отключить уведомление «Устройство поддерживает HD» без рута, но вы вполне можете удалить значок HD из строка состояния и экран блокировки, а также убедитесь, что оно будет отображаться как последнее уведомление, что означает, что вы не пропустите важные из-за того, что это постоянное уведомление отображается вверху. Вот как это сделать.

Шаг 1: опустите панель уведомлений и нажмите и удерживайте колесико настроек вверху, чтобы включить тюнер системного интерфейса.
Шаг 2: Теперь перейдите в настройки >>> System UI Tuner
Шаг 3: Выберите «Другие», а затем выберите и включите «Управление уведомлением о питании». Это позволит вам определить приоритет для каждого уведомления приложения.
Шаг 4: Теперь снова опустите панель уведомлений и нажмите и удерживайте уведомление «Устройство поддерживает HD».
Шаг 5: Установите его приоритет на 1 (потому что он просто не будет ниже этого) и нажмите «Готово».
После того, как вы закончите, логотип «HD» в строке состояния исчезнет. И постоянное уведомление будет отображаться под всеми другими уведомлениями.
Если вам не нужен VoLTE, вы также можете отключить режим Enhanced 4G LTE в настройках сети, чтобы удалить уведомление.
Кроме того, вы можете удалить хранилище и принудительно остановить службу, чтобы временно удалить уведомление, не отключая службу 4G VoLTE, но через некоторое время уведомление появится снова.

Чтобы полностью удалить уведомление, скачать приложение Notification Off из Магазин игр. После предоставления корневого доступа приложению просто найдите org.codeaurora.ims пакет и снимите флажок. Сохраните изменения, и все готово.

Говоря более простым языком, IMS Service (IP Multimedia Subsystem) – стандарт передачи данных в сетях, использующих телефонию. Передаёт мультимедийное содержание в сетях на основе протокола IP. Отвечает за работу VoLTE.
Зачем нужен IMS Service
Задача IMS заключается в переводе услуг связи (таких как VoIP, Push-To-Talk, Push-To-View, SMS, MMS, обмен видео и видеозвонки) на новый уровень, сохраняя при этом функционал каждой из них. Или, говоря проще, увеличивает ёмкость связи в разы. 
Стоит сказать и о том, что у сервиса есть функция GPS. Работает она при звонке, то есть, передаёт информацию о местоположении человека. Зачем это нужно?
Допустим, при звонке в экстренные службы. Конечно, эту функции можно отключить. На разных устройствах это делается по разному. Если на смартфоне пользователя есть функция включения или отключения оповещения собеседника о местоположении, то так даже лучше.
В противоположном случае необходимо в настройках запретить IMS Service изменять настройки системы. 
Нужен ли этот сервис? Как его удалить
Являясь заводским приложением, на многих устройствах его невозможно удалить пользовательским функционалом. Конечно, есть смартфоны которые имеют такую возможность, но для стабильной работы системы лучше этого не делать.
Да, удалять нельзя, но можно отключить. Набираем *#*#4636#*#. В этом меню можно отключить IMS. Нужно выбрать пункт «Информация о телефоне», «Обязательная регистрация IMS» – отключить. После этого перезагрузить телефон.
Важно! В этом меню нужно быть как можно аккуратнее. Несколько неправильных действий могут превратить телефон в кирпич.
Как проверить состояние IMS?
Для этого нужно набрать *#*# 4636 #*#* после выбрать «Состояние службы IMS». 
Влияние службы на расход батареи
Само по себе IMS Service заряд не расходует, и при этом является частью системы Андроид. IMS Service и Платформа Android показывают один и тот же расход заряда. Следовательно, никакого влияния на энергосбережение сервис не оказывает.
Заключение
Подводя итоги, можно обобщить полученную информацию – сервис является прогрессивной технологией, суть которой заключена в объединении услуг связи в одну службу, и переводе их на новый уровень. При этом IMS Service может проводить самостоятельно определённые манипуляции с устройством, которые можно запретить.
Попытки удаления сервиса могут привести телефон к неработоспособности в большинстве случаев. Таким образом, лучше сервис пусть просто мирно существует, даже если он не нужен пользователю на устройстве. Удачи!
